Penta Foods Limited offers total National Logistical Solutions, with distribution centres in Farnborough, Hampshire and Manchester servicing the whole of the UK.
We offer a ‘Next day’ delivery service with regular scheduled deliveries via our fleet of around 50 dedicated multi-temperature vehicles. Our service also offers comprehensive night and day deliveries that can be pre-arranged for when best suits you. Each customer has a dedicated Sales Manager who will be responsible for organising pre-delivery site inspections to ascertain if there are any special access or logistical requirements, such as limited or timed access or specified loading bays and inform your dedicated delivery driver of any such arrangements.
As an FTA member all our vehicles go through rigorous checks to the highest standards ensuring they are safe and efficient, in line with VOSA regulations.
All our drivers have ongoing Customer Service training in addition to their Health & Safety and Manual Handling training. To ensure the best possible service and customer care drivers are allocated specific routes so that they may build a rapport and develop an understanding of your specific needs. This is all provided with the support of our transport management team, contactable 24 hours a day.
The Environment
Penta Foods are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We have been recycling our waste for many years, from paper, cardboard and plastic packaging in our warehouse to printer and toner cartridges in our offices. By working in conjunction with our suppliers, packaging is constantly being reduced and food miles are being kept to a minimum. Our recently updated fleet of trucks comply with Euro 4 ratings which has reduced emissions substantially. In addition to this, our refrigerated vehicles run from the ‘Add Blue’ system for the refrigeration, not from the vehicles engine, again minimising emissions. Working in partnership with Mercedes Benz, we also have an arrangement for recycling vehicle parts during servicing on an ongoing basis.
We offer our customers a range of organic and fair-trade products, at the same time minimising the supply of GM products. Where possible, we also offer products from sustainable sources.
